"Satisfy Your Inner Tchotche"

Nutley, NJ, January 7, 2013 – As Madeline Apollo of Pennsylvania Ballet, was searching through the August 2012 New York International Gift Fair, she was looking for a new gift idea to offer for the ballet’s holiday production of the George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker(TM). When she came upon Schmutzerland at booth 5005, in the New York’s Newest section, she had an idea. She would collaborate with Schmutzerland to create unique one-of-a-kind, image based jewelry as a new offering for the ballet gift shop.

After discussing some parameters with Dave Rubin, a Schmutzerland partner and director of marketing and development, they decided on exclusive images of the ballet’s own production. By putting them in necklaces, earrings and cufflinks and creating special packaging, Schmutzerland created an exciting gift line. “ I met David at the NY International Gift Fair and we had a conversation about doing some themed pieces for Nutcracker and Pennsylvania Ballet.  He followed up and took the initiative to design some custom jewelry for us.  I was thrilled with Schmutzerland’s attention to detail and dedication to our project.  The finished pieces were magnificent and big sellers.  I look forward to a long partnership!” commented Apollo on her Schmutzerland experience.

Along with their extensive line of images that feature everything from famous personalities, botanicals, nostalgia, curios, insects, vintage engravings, feathers and vintage maps, Schmutzerland works closely with retailers and other organizations to create lines that are exclusive to them. Schmutzerland has created exclusive lines for Temple University, The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, Modcloth, Blake & Co, in Orleans, MA. and Kanibal Home in Jersey City, NJ just to name a few.

The whimsical nature of Schmutzerland’s designs promotes its appeal to a broad spectrum of clientele, who find they are great pieces to wear, whether they are dressing up or dressing down. Available in necklaces, earrings, rings, brooches, hairpins and cufflinks.
