The Makers of Schmutzerland Create New Custom Lines and Packaging

Low Minimums enable retailers to offer exclusive private label lines

"Satisfy Your Inner Tchotchke"

Nutley, NJ, January 28, 2014

The makers of Schmutzerland, the image based jewelry specialists, have created several new custom lines, made exclusively for online and brick & mortar retailers, institutions and organizations. By collaborating closely with their customers, art director, Bonnie Berish and marketing director David Rubin, have been able to craft exclusive lines that speak directly to their client’s customer base.  “In today’s competitive environment, retailers and groups want products that help them stand out.” Says Rubin, “By having the ability to offer something that no one else has, you can gain a little edge.”

In a very personalized process, both Rubin and Berish work with institutions and retailers to help them decide on the images and settings that will work best for their needs. Whether it’s an image of an iconic landmark, a local item of interest to their region or a significant personality, Schmutzerland’s design team works diligently to make sure the new keepsakes look great and are priced right. With very affordable set-up fees and low minimums customization and exclusivity is within reach for all types of retailers and organizations.

Private Labeling Enhances Impact
Additionally, Schmutzerland’s designers have the ability to customize labeling to feature the retailer or organization on the packaging or create a totally original packaging solution that is made exclusively for the client.

In order to assist Regina’s Catholic Gifts (reginascatholicgifts.com), Schmutzerland’s design team, not only designed the jewelry line, but also created a new unique gift box solution that is exclusive to Regina’s.  Sue Ellen Bozzi of Regina’s Catholic Gifts says, “It was amazing to see how quickly this line came together. You can see that Dave and Bonnie really know what they are doing. They made sure every detail was taken care of, from the image selection to the package design.” Bozzi continues,  “They researched all the images I needed, plus they even designed the Home Page image for my web carousel. These are pieces to be treasured forever.”

New Product Lines
Schmutzerland’s designers also practice what they preach. They have introduced two new original lines; the value priced SmashCaps and the fashion forward Fauxhemian, which uses sterling silver plate cast setting and glass cabochons. For these new lines, Bonnie Berish designed the brand identities, packaging; designed monograms and hand picked the images and the settings.

Schmutzerland has made custom lines for such groups as the Pennsylvania Ballet, The Mystic Seaport Museum, the National Archive, the Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, Billy Bob’s Texas, Hudson News, Temple University, Duke University Women’s Soccer team and many other institutions, retailers and private groups.
